Youtube Made Me Buy It! – Part 1

Recently I’ve been seeing lots of people doing videos and blog posts called ‘Youtube Made Me Buy It.’ Basically, it’s talking about products you bought because of the hype on Youtube. I have quite alot so this is the first part. I hope you enjoy and let me know what Youtube made you buy.

The Urban Decay Naked palettes are massively hyped on Youtube and literally every Youtuber owns them all. I bought the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette, £38.50, because of massive hype and I’m so glad I did. I bought the Naked 3 because I loved the look of the colours and I really like pinks on me. The pigmentation and blendablity of these shadows is increadible and they wear for such a long time. I get use from all but ‘Darkside’ which I just don’t like so much. There is a black, a white, a matte brown, a few shimmery browns, a matte pink, a few shimmery pinks and a shimmery copper colour. The shade ‘Blackheart’ is the best black eyeshadow ever, it’s matte with red micro glitters. Apart from that one, my favorite shades are ‘Liar,’ ‘Nooner’ and ‘Buzz.’ I personally think this is worth the hype, but only if you suit pinks and have the right skin tone and colour for these shades.

Another product from Urban Decay that was massively hyped was the eyeshadow primers. I bought the Urban Decay Anti-Aging Eyeshadow Primer Potion, £18, having never tried an eyeshadow primer before. I was so impressed with how much more smoothly my eyeshadow went on, how much easier it was to blend out and how much longer it lasted. It applys transparent and dries that way too which I like. Then I tried the Urban Decay Original Eyeshadow Primer, £16, which I actually like alot more than the anti-aging one. It does everything the anti-aging one does but I just like it a bit more, I find it goes on better. I have Eden and Sin, ready to try and I’ll let you know my thoughts on them soon. What’s your favorite one?

When this mascara came out it was hyped so much, a main reason probably being its affordability. I gave into the hype of the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara, £7.99, pretty soon after the hype began. I’m so glad I did. I instantly started getting compliments on my lashes and it is probably the best mascara I’ve used. It volumises, thickens, lengthens and lifts the lashes and it never smudges. As well as the original formula, I have tried the waterproof one which literally will not come off. I’ve also tried the intense black formula which is my favorite as I like really black lashes. I have came to the conclusion that it’s the wand that makes it so good. It’s such an unusual wand and I can’t compare it to anything else. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

A foundation which everyone loves is the L’Oreal True Match Foundation, £9.99, which has recently been hyped loads but has been loved my the beauty community for years. I think the marketing and shade range of this is amazing but in general, I really dislike this foundation. I think the formula is rubbish and the coverage is awful, but it may just be my skin type. If you want a full review, I did one recently, just click here.

Sleek Cream Contour Kit Review

I wanted to do another review for you all today and I thought it was about time to review my Sleek cream contour kit. I’ve had it for a while now, since June, and I thought I’d give it a full review and let you know all my thoughts and my honest opinions.

I bought this three or four months ago when I decided I wanted to try cream contouring. After having a look around Superdrug, I chose to by this one by Sleek which had six colours inside and retailed for £10.99. It comes in three shades, ‘Light,’ ‘Medium’ & ‘Dark,’ and I decided to buy the shade Medium (wrong choice, I should have got Light!). Of the six colours, two of them are for highlighting and four are for contouring. I’m going to give you a run down of the colours inside:

01 – Perfect for highlighting, this is a light, creamy ivory shade which is less than half a shade lighter than my skin. I’ve hit pan on it and I’ve used about half.
02 – Made for highlighting, this light, warm olive colour is too dark for highlighting my skin but not dark or cool enough to contour with. It’s probably my least used shade.
03 – The lightest contouring shade in this palette, it is a medium, warm tan shade. A great colour but because of a contrasting undetone to my skin, I don’t often find myself using it.
04 -A great contouring shade, it is a neutral, medium tan shade, slightly darker than the one previous. It is great for contouring as it’s quite cool, but not to cool that I couldn’t use it as a bronzer.
05 – The third contouring shade in this palette, it is medium brown with a cool tone to it. I love it for contouring and is my most used shade from this palette and I’ve hit pan.
06 – The darkest shade in this palette is a dark is a dark brown shade with neutral tones. Because of it’s dark tone I don’t use it much but it’s good if I have a tan.

The blendablity of this product is amazing and it is consistent through out the whole palette. The formula is beautiful and they have the perfect amount of pigmentation. I love the packaging of this product. It is matte black and Sleek is on the front in shiney black writing. It is thin so perfect to travel with it and I love the big mirror in it – it’s a great size.

Fall Favorites Tag!

It is now well into Autumn and I’ve got to say I’m loving the weather. It isn’t too cold yet but I’m dreading the Winter weather – it gets so cold here! I was tagged by sittingintheclouds, so thankyou and you should checkout her blog!

Favorite Candle: My favorite Autumn/Fall candle and probably one of my favorite candles ever is Yankee Candle Christmas Baking. From the scents name you’d think it would be more Christmasy but for me I deffinetly think it’s more Autumnal.

Favorite Lip Product: My favorite lip product for fall is not your typical red or plum colour – I’m not really into them too much. It would probably be MAC Satin Lipstick in ‘Faux.’ It is a feminine nude colour which I do think is perfect for Autumn.

Favorite Nail Polish: I really love reds and plum colours for the nails and one of my favorites would have to be Revlon Nail Enamel in ‘Raven Red.’ It’s just the perfect Autumnal nail colour and looks really nice on my skin tone.

Favorite Comfy Clothing Item: My favorite comfy clothing item would probably just be some of my jumpers. My favorite ones are from Topshop, H&M and Forever 21.

Favorite Shoes: I think my favorite shoes for Autumn are my Topshop KEEPER Leather Chelsea Boots. Everyone needs a pair of chelsea boots.

Favorite Accessory: I tend just to wear the same jewelry all the time. A stirling silver ring which I got for my 13th birthday, a stirling silver necklace which I got from one of my friends for my 10th birthday and just any earrings.

Halloween or Thanksgiving?: I don’t celebrate Thanksgiving as I’m Scottish and Halloween isn’t my favorite holiday but I still do like it and I’d have to say Halloween.

Favorite Drink: I don’t really have a favorite Autumn/Fall drink. I tend to just drink tap water and decaf green tea. Everyone will probably say a Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte – and they are nice, just not my favorite.

What’s the happiest part of Fall for you?: There isn’t one particular part of Fall that stands out as the happiest but overall I do really like fall, I think it is probably my favorite season.
