Today I wanted to share some drugstore dupes for highend products that are actually as good as eachother. I’ll be giving my opinions on everything about each of the products which I have tried. If you have any good dupes, be sure to let me know!
Highend: Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette (colour ‘Mugshot’), £38.50
Drugstore: Collection Little Mix All About The Eyes Palette (colour ‘Dazzling Brown’), £2.99
Price Difference: £35.51
The two palettes have simmilar colours and quality to the eyeshadows. The specific ones which look most simmilar are ‘Mugshot’ from the Urban Decay palette, and ‘Dazzling Brown’ from the Collection palette. Each of them have a simmilar finish and amount of shimmer to them, so they’re almost an exact match. The Collection eyeshadows are slightly chalkier but not when on the eyes. They are both as easy to blend. The Urban Decay ones are slightly more long wearing as you would expect for the price. I don’t prefer one over the other but I do prefer the colours in the Naked 3.
Highend: Stila In The Moment Palette (colour ‘Captivate’), £25
Drugstore: MUA Undress Me Too Palette (colour ‘Obsessed’), £4
Price Difference: £21
The quality of the Stila palette is much better but the four metalics in the MUA palette are just as good, however the other eight in the palette arn’t. The shade ‘Obsessed’ from the MUA palette is a metalic so is as good as it’s color match, ‘Captivate,’ from the Stila palette. All of the different finishes from the Stila palette are amazing. However from the MUA one, the mattes and shimmers are good for the price, but the metalics are on par with Stila. I prefer the Stila palette as a whole, but the MUA one is still great if your on a budget.
Highend: Lancôme Le Crayon Khôl Eye Liner in ‘Noir,’ £17
Drugstore: Rimmel Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Liner Pencil in ‘Jet Black,’ £2.99
Price Difference: £14.01
These two eye liners are practically the exact same which is unbelievable for the price. They are both as pigmented as eachother and have the same pay off; they also have an identical texture. The Rimmel eye liner is slightly blacker which is good for a more intense or night time look. The Rimmel one is slightly easier to blend which is great if you want a smokey eye, but it means the Lancôme liner is less likley to smudge. They both have great lasting power and I use and love them both equally.
Highend: Model Co Illusion Lip Liner, £16
Drugstore: MUA Intense Colour Lip Liner in ‘Caramel Nougat,’ £1
Price Difference: £15
I honestly could barely tell these lip liners apart! Both of these are a beautiful salmon nude/pink colour, however the MUA one is slightly more pink. They have the same amount of pigmentation and texture, and both line the lips perfectly. Both have amazing staying power and I love and use both of them equally.
Highend: MAC Satin Lipstick in ‘Snob,’ £15.50
Drugstore: Essence Long Lasting Lipstick in ‘Natural Beauty,’ £2.30
Price Difference: £13.20
These lipsticks are an exact colour match, both feminine pinky nudes which are super classy and chic. Both are just as pigmented as eachother which is increadible considering the price difference. The MAC lipstick has a satin finish and the Essence lipstick is creamy so they have a different finish. Both are long lasting, however the MAC lipstick does wear for slightly longer. I love both of them and use either one depending on which finish I want. They are almost identical apart from the finish so I do get a bit more use from the MAC lipstick.
