I recently had the idea of sharing with you my top five lip care products. Caring for and protecting your lips is so important and I always have a lip balm at hand. I hope you enjoy this and also let me know what your favorite lip care products are.
1. Piz Buin in Sun Lipstick SPF 30 High £5
I have been using this for about a year now since my Mum recommended it to me. You never really find lip balms with high SPF in them that are good so I was really happy when I found this. It has a creamy and moisturising feeling on the lips and it’s obviously a great product for Summer. I like the packaging and I like that it is in stick form for easier application. I recommend this to anyone who is in need of a high SPF lip balm and I need to repurchase it myself!
2. Burt’s Bees 100% Natural Lip Balm Beeswax £3.69
I have been using Burt’s Bees lip balms for almost a year and I like their range of products as a whole. However this is deffinetly my favorite one of them all. It is perfect for prepping the lips for any lip product and I love it for that. The texture is thin and comfortable to wear but it is hard working on the lips. It also contains vitamin E and peppermint which is great for the lips. The packaging is nice and is in stick form, my favorite for on the go. It is 100% natural and I’d recommend to anyone.
3. Carmex Lip Balm Tube £2.69
I have been using Carmex for years now and it us by far my favorite lip balm ever. The texture is thick but it feels even and light on the lips. I especially love it for dry/cracked lips as it really heals them well. The packaging is simple and I have mine in a tube but if you prefer, they are available in a tub too. Everyone needs on of these in their lives so I’d highly recommend it.
4. Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Ultra Moisturizing Lip Balm Dark Chocolate & Mint SPF 15 £1.99
I first bought this almost two years ago when I was in desperate need of an effective lip fix. It has the SPF of 15 so it is ideal for everyday wear. It is light and hydrating on the lips and moisturises them well. I love the packaging and the lip balm is in twist up stick form. It comes in a few flavors, my favorite being dark chocolate & mint. The application is super easy I’d highly recommend it.
5. Vaseline Lip Therapy Original £1.95
Vaseline is a product I don’t remember not using and I still to this day, have one with me wherever I go. It comes in 4 scents and 2 variations but my favorite is the Original in pot form (also available in stick forn if you prefer). The texture is thin yet very buildable and I couldn’t recommend it enough.

I thought I’d share some nail ideas for the transition from Summer to Autumn/Fall. It’s now the end of August which means technically the end of Summer. However it doesn’t feel like Summer is quite over and hopefully we still have warmer weather to come. I hope you all enjoy!
Leopard print is a classic Autumn print so it gives Autumnal vibes. The pastel blue colour adds a bit of summer back into it and makes it perfect for August/September. To do this paint 1/3 of the nail with a base colour, then the other 2/3 with the pastel blue like Barry M Nail Paint in ‘Sky Blue,’ then addthe leopard print detailing and finish with a top coat.
Metalic opper is perfect for the transition from Summer to Autumnn, which everyone loves and this one is obviously really easy to do. This is Essie Nail Laquer in ‘Penny Talk’ but another beautiful metalic option is Essie Nail Laquer in ‘Buy Me A Cameo.’ Always remember to finish of with a top coat.
Still keeping to the metalic theme but this time with an Autumnal pattern, but still perfect for Summer as it has bright shades of pinks, reds and purples too. Start of with the base colour which is Barry M Molten Metal Nail Paint in ‘Gold Digger.’ Then add the bright shades which can be of your choice and finish with a top coat.
This colour from the O.P.I Infinite Shine range is the perfect shade for the transition as it’s bright yet muted slightly. The coral pink shade is also perfect for both seasons and you can add nail art if you’d like to. Remember to always finish off by using a topcoat.

Today I decided to write a post on my personal favorite drugstore makeup brands. I’ll be telling you why I love each brand and what products they do best. I think I’ll do a second one as there are loads, but do let me know what your favorites are or if I’m missing anything!
L’Oreal – This is deffinetly one of my favorite brands of all time. They do some amazing, high quality products which I’d recommend trying. I love their liquid eyeliners as all of them stay on all day and are so easy to use. Their eye brow kit is my go to brow product (light/medium is my perfect shade) as it’s so easy to use. Their lipsticks are one of the best options you’ll get in the drugstore and the colour range is amazing – I really like their lipglosses to; the applicators are perfect. The bronzers they do are by far one of my favorites and the shades are great (I love 03 Caribbean sun). And lastly, they know how to make a good nail varnish!
Rimmel – I love Rimmel because they have great prices but always amazing products. I could live without their foundations (light porcelain matches me perfectly) as their quality is comparable to more expesive products. The wake me up concealer is my go to and their powder is the best one I’ve ever used. They have some great quad eyeshadows with a beautiful shade range. Their kohl liner is incredible and is as good as Lancôme ones. I also recently tried some of the mascaras and they are amazing too.
MUA – MUA is an affordable but mostly great quality makeup brand. It is particularly good for those just starting with makeup. One of the great things the brand does is shimmer highlighters. They are so pigmented and even have colour choices. One of the things they do well is eyeshadow, especially the metalic, shimmer and pearl finishes. They also have eyeshadow palettes which are good value for money. Their lipsticks are good for the price and they are pigmented. A favorite of mine from MUA is their lipliners as they are comparable to much more expensive options.

Over the past couple of weeks I have bought what would be considered a bit too much makeup and other beauty products. I thought I would also share my first impressions of these products and I hope you enjoy!
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in ‘Abu Dhabi,’ £5.50 – I had been wanting this colour for ages but it was always out of stock in my local Boots. It is a beautiful nude colour and I love the formula of these.
Dove Derma Spa Summer Revived Fair to Medium Skin Body Lotion,£6.99 – I decided to buy this because I wanted to look tanned but not too over the top. It is perfect if you want a Summer glow and it lasts well.
Garnier Skin Naturals Pure Anti-Blackhead Deep Pore Wash £3.79 – I actually haven’t gotten alot of use out of this yet but I will let you know my thoughts on it!
E45 Dermatological Emollient Wash Cream £4.35 – I decided to buy this when Saffron Barker mentioned that she used it. It is amazing for taking makeup off and I’ll let you know my further thoughts.
BareMinerals Stroke Of Light Eye Brightner in ‘Luminous 2’ £22 – I haven’t used this too much yet but it’s the perfect shade for me and it is really brightening but doesn’t offer much coverage.
Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place Flawless Wear Concealer SPF10 in ‘Light Medium’ £22.50 – Immedietly when putting this on my face I realised that it was way too dark for me. For this reason I can’t give much more information but I’d love to get a lighter shade.
Soap & Glory Brow Archery 2-in-1 Brow Sculpting Crayon & Setting Gel in Blonde Ambition £10 – The crayon part goes down so fast! I also personally find that the gel removes other product but I’ll let you know my further thoughts.
MUA Eyeshadow in Pearl £1 – This is a stunning dark brown eyeshadow with turquoise shimmer reflect in it. It is so insanely pigmented and I’ll try more colours!
Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Laquer in Charm Offensive £5 – I haven’t had a chance to properly try this yet but the colour is so pretty and it is very pigmented.
No7 BB Lips Beauty Balm SPF 15 in Ballerina £9 – This is officially my favorite lip gloss ever. The colour is beautiful and I’ll give a full review soon.
Nails Inc Multivitamin Nail Polish in Queensbury Way £14 – This colour immediately caught my eye ajd I just new I had to have it. It is so log wearing and I have it on right now.

Today I’m going to be sharing with you some of the beauty products that I’ve totally used up. I did a post on the makeup products I’ve used up and you all seemed to really like it so I thought I’d do a simmilar one covering a wider range of products. I hope you all enjoy!
One of my must have beauty items is Batiste Dry Shampoo Tropical, (£2.99 per 200ml). I have tried so many brands and this for me is by far the best one. It does go into darker hair quite light so it needs brushing through but in my blonde hair, the majority of the time I can’t see it. I must have used up more than 40 of these over the years and needless to say, I’m currently using one.
I think my signature scent is Chanel No5 Eau de Parfum Handbag Size, (£75.50 3 x 20ml). I’ve used one of the 20ml bottles up which I think has lasted me seven or eight months as the scent is strong. I’m not even going to try to describe the scent but it’s the kind of scent that would suit anyone. I’ve moved onto another bottle of this as I need this in my life!
I have used up a whole bottle of Tresemme Colour Thrive Illuminating Blonde Shampoo (£5.99 for 750ml) and the matching conditoner, Tresemme Colour Thrive Illumimating Blonde Conditioner (£5.99 for 750ml). Now that I think about it, these have lasted me over a year which is insane. The only thing is, for months now I’ve been looking for these everywhere and I think they’ve been discontinued. Let me know if they have been!
I’ve used up one of what I think is my favorite body butters ever. I love Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Buttercream (£10 for 300ml) because it’s so moisturising and hydrating on the skin. It has such as nice fresh citrus scent which is lovley. I’m currently using another bodu butter from Soap & Glory – their products in general are just amazing.
One of my must have skin care products is Boots Tea Tree & Which Hazel Cleansing & Toning Lotion (£3.59 for 150ml). It is perfect for oily/combination and acne prone skin as it helps clear up and prevent breakouts. I must have gone through at least 15 of these and I will continue to do so.

Today I’m going to be sharing my everyday makeup routine with you. But before that, I want to thankyou all so much for 200 followers – your support means alot. Recently I’ve bought some new prouducts which I might do a haul on soon but in the meantime I’ll be mentioning some of them today. Let me know they key part of your current everyday makeup routine and I hope you enjoy!
My foundation is one thing that has not changed. I’m still using and loving Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in ‘Light Porcelain’ which I’m sure you’re all tierd of hearing about! For the under eyes I’ve been loving BareMinerals Stroke Of Light Eye Brightener in ‘Luminous 2’ which brightens and gives a light to medium coverage. For covering blemishes I’ve been using Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place Flawless Wear Concealer in ‘Light Medium’ which gives a high coverage and flawless finish. And of course, I’ve been using Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in ‘Peach Glow’ to set my makeup into place.
The rest of my face makeup is the part that has stayed very simmilar. I’ve been using Seventeen Define & Conquer Contour Kit in ‘Medium’ to contour my cheekbones. I’ve been loving Seventeen Instant Glow Shimmer Brick in ‘Pink Glow’ as my bronzer. I also love adding a bit more highlight with my MUA Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter in ‘Pink Glow.’
For brows I’ve actually been trying out Soap & Glory 2-In-1 Brow Sculpting Crayon & Setting Gel in ‘Blonde Ambition’ which I don’t have an opinion on yet but I’ll be sure to let you know! For eyeshadow I’ve been using my Urban Decay Eyeshadow in ‘Nooner’ which is a cool toned matte brown in the crease. I’ve then been using a new descovery, MUA Eyeshadow in ‘Pearl’ which in the packaging looks really boring but on the eyelid, it’s beautiful (I’ve just had to swatch it so I can admire the colour again!). It’s a shimmery cool toned brown with a blue/green shimmer through it which is undescribably beautiful. And as usual, on the lashes I’ve been using Max Factor 2000 Calorie Mascara in ‘Black’ which you know I love.
And lastly, a few of my current go to lip options. For a natural glossy look which I’ve been loving lately, I use No7 BB Lips Beauty Balm SPF 15 in ‘Ballerina’ which is a gorgeous soft pinky nude. For a sophisticated more grown up option I’ve been opting for MAC Satin Lipstick in ‘Faux’ which is a darker feminine pinky nude. And finally, I’ve been reaching for NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in ‘Abu Dhabi’ which is a beautiful nude matte liquid lipstick.
