Beauty Haul: What I Bought in Majorca

Today I’m sharing what I bought during my trip to Majorca. There isn’t very much but I still think it’s worth writing about them as I did get some great products.

I had to stop at the MAC counter in duty free to see what I could find. I bought MAC Satin Lipstick in ‘Faux,’ which is a gorgeous nude pink which looks really grownup and feminine. My Mum bought MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick in ‘Chatterbox,’ which is quite a bright pink coral colour which is perfect for Summer.

Fuller lips have been a massive trend for months now and I got a couple of things so that I could achieve the look. I bought Victorias Secret Very Voluptous Lip Plumer in ‘Baby Pink.’ It really does work and the colour is gorgous. I also got Model Co Illusion Lip Liner which is a one colour suits all. On me it’s a beige nude colour and it somehow does give the illusion of fuller lips.

I also got Clarins Multi Active Jour Day Cream which I can’t say too much about because I haven’t gotten round to trying it yet. I have however heard good things about it.

Majorca 2016 – OOTD’s & What I Did

Here’s what I wore each day and what I got up to in my 8 days in Cala D’Or.

DAY 1: Today I flew from the UK to Majorca. I did quite a bit of shopping and a haul will be up soon! We arrived at our hotel and explored the town which I immediatly fell in love with.

Top – Zara. Shorts – H&M. Lipstick – MAC ‘Faux.’

Day 2: Today we did some shopping in the center of town. I really liked my hair which I actually did very last minute.

Top – Zara. Shorts – H&M. Lipstick – MAC ‘Faux.’

Day 3: I had a super relaxing day which I spent the majority of sunbathing on the rooftop sun terrace.

Playsuit – Missi. Lipstick -MAC ‘Creme Cup.’

Day 4: Today was not a good day. All I did was get myself locked out of my appartment, have an unfriedly conversation with a Spanish woman who didn’t speak English and smashed my phone screen.

Top – H&M. Shorts- New Look. Lipstick – MAC ‘Honeylove.’

Day 5: I have no idea what happend today. I for some reason made no notes on it. But I do know that hate the neckline on that top!

Top – New Look. Shorts – H&M. Lipstick – Stila ‘Avery.’

Day 6: Today was the Euro finals and everyone seemed to be really happy. I’m saying this because I don’t have anything else to say.

Top – New Look. Shorts – H&M. Lipstick – MAC ‘Snob.’

Day 7: We went to Cala Esmerelda rather than Cala Gran today which was also beautiful.

Top – Primark. Shorts – H&M. Lipstick – MAC ‘Creme Cup.’

Day 8: Today we traveld home. It was not a good journey.

Beauty Scenarios!

Since my last tag that I did went down really well I thought I’d do another! This is the beauty scenario tag which has been my favorite for years and I’m so glad to finally be doing it myself. I hope you all enjoy!

1. You have to get rid of all your foundations and you can only keep one high end and one drugstore. Which do you keep?

The highend foundation that I’d keep is Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation which I don’t use very often because it’s super high coverage, but I do really love it. The drugstore foundation I’d keep would probably have to be Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation as it is one of my favorites. It’s got a medium coverage and it has a natural and glowy finish.

 2. You go for an interview and the lady interviewing you has lipstick on her teeth. Do you approach the subject or ignore it completely?

As much as I’d like to be told if it were me, realisticly I don’t think I would. Imagine how akward it would be saying “uhm, you’ve got some lipstick on your teeth…”

3. You’re not feeling yourself and need a pick me up. Which lipstick do you put on to make yourself feel beautiful?

As you may know, I’m not very into bold, bright lips or anything so it would probably have to be MAC Satin Lipstick in ‘Faux’ because it’s a gorgeous feminine pink nude.

4. You go back in time for a day to your teenage years, how would you do your hair and makeup differently?

Spend a little bit more on better quality makeup because that £1 concealer isn’t doing anything for you. And also I would do something a little bit more with my hair.

5. You ask your hairdresser for a shoulder length Pixie Lott hair cut, but they hear wrong and give you a pixi cit. Do you: a) smile, say thankyou, leave and call your mum hysterical, b) cry in the chair and things get awkward or c) complain to the manager and demand a refund.

First of all, how would you not notice before it was done?! Anyway, I would probably complain to the manager and demand a refund, and then leave and cry hysterically.

6. Your friend surprises you with a 4 day city break and you have 1 hour to pack. Which ‘do it all’ palette do you pack in your makeup bag?

I don’t really have a ‘do it all’ palette but probably my Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette because I could do so many eye looks.

7. Your house has been robbed, don’t worry everyone is safe, but your beauty stash has been raided. What’s the product you really hope is safe?

Probably my Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette because it’s so expensive. Or my MAC Lipstick collection. But those would probably be some of the things they made sure they took!

8. Your friend borrows your makeup and returns it in awful condition. Do you: a) just pretend you haven’t noticed, b) ask them to repurchase it or c) secretly do the same to something of theirs.

I would ask them what happend to it and if they didn’t offer to repurchase it already, as I would expect, I would ask them to.

Highstreet Fashion Haul!

Something a little bit different here today! I’ve recently had a massive clear out of all of my clothes and eventhough I wore none of what I gave to charity, it felt weird having half full drawers. So recently I’ve been picking up some items which I really like so I thought I’d share them with you!

H&M – Black Manhattan Jumper, £5.99

I picked this up while I was uptown with one of my friends a few weeks ago and I really like it. I like my jumpers being slightly oversized on me so I got a size S; usually I’d get an XS. It is black all over with the word ‘Manhattan’ in white print. I have searched the internet but I can’t find it, so here’s a picture of me so you get the idea!

Topshop – Tea & Cake Grey Eagles NFL Cropped Jumper, £32

I was out shopping with my Mum on Monday night and Topshop had a pretty big sale on. I got this jumper for £15! I think it is one of my favorite thing I picked up, and it is slightly cropped on me. It has the Philidelphia Eagles logo on it and I got this in a UK 6 so it fits me well. It isn’t my usual style but I love it (it’s so much nicer on).

Zara – Trafaluc Black Crop Top, £9.95

I still had my Zara gift card from Christmas so I took my friend into the shop and I think we were in there for at least an hour! I got this in the smallest size, which is S, and it fits me perfectly. It is quite a Summery top, and is really cropped but it’s nice. I loved wearing it on holiday!

Zara – White Crop Top, £5.99

I bought this the same time as the previous item and it is just a really basic round neck white crop top. It is made from organic fibres so it feels so nice and I’ll get loads of wear out of it. Again I got it in a size S which is exactly my size in this shop.

Boohoo – Grace Blue & White Baseball T-shirt, £10

I ordered this late one Friday night after having that freak out moment, ‘I don’t have anything to wear!’ I got this in a UK 8 as there were no UK 6 left and it is too big for me, so I just tuck it into my jeans. It has a white a body and light blue sleeves and neck. It’s a really simple piece which I love for day to day wear.

Blue Spice – High Waisted Medium Elise Skinny Jeans, £38

I bought these in TkMax one weekend as they are my favorite jeans ever, as the size US 0 fits me perfectly. I already had a few different pairs of these, so I had to get these which are full length, high waisted, and medium blue coloured. In TkMax they sell for only £14.99 which is amazing!

My Summer Picks

Today I’m sharing with you my Summer essentials which I can’t live without over the Summer months. I got the idea of doing this from Glamour magazine which I love and read every month. I hope you enjoy this!

The Hair Essential – I love using Schwarzkopf Got2b Oil-Licious Tame & Shine Styling Oil, £4.19. It leaves your hair so shiny, goreous and alot smoother. I use 5-7 pumps in damp hair.

The Hand Cream – A hand cream that I love is No7 Protect & Perfect Intense Day Hand Cream SPF 15, £10.50 because it has SPF which is essential in the Summer. It is also really hydrating on the hands.

The Sunblock – The sunblock which I have been using for years, that I can highly rely on is Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Protective Sun Lotion SPF 30, £8.50. It is so creamy, it smells amazing and it protects my skin so well!

The Bronzer – Probably my favorite bronzer of all time, L’Oreal Glam Bronze Powder SPF 10 in ‘Caribbean Sun,’ £10.29. It is the perfect shade for me and it gives me a gorgous Summer bronzed look.

The Moisturiser – I’ve been using this product for years and I love it. It’s Simple Kind To Skin+ Protecting Moisture Cream SPF 30, £6.99. It protects my skin from the sun and it’s non-greasy.

The Tan – I have been loving St Moriz Instant Self Tanning Mousse in ‘Medium,’ £4. It gives streak free and long lasting results.

My Top 5 Pink Lipsticks

It feels like forever since I’ve done a ‘My Top 5’ post, so today I thought I’d tell you what my top 5 pink lipsticks are. I’ve done one of these on nude lipsticks too so if that interests you, you’ll find it here on my blog too.

1. Stila Color Balm Lipstick – ‘Avery’ – £16

I bought this lipstick last Summer because of it’s stunning pink colour which I thought would really suit me. It’s perfect with really simple makeup for a day time Summer look, or with a more intense eye for a night time look. The colour is the most gorgeous coral pink colour, and it’s exactly what I think of when I think ‘Summer pink.’ I honestly think this would suit anyone as it doesn’t really have an undertone, but be more careful of you have more red toned skin. It is essentially a really pigmented lipstick which feels like a lip balm. The formula is gorgeous and creamy and it sits really comfortably on the lips. It’s staying power is amazing and I would recommend this to anyone.

2. MAC Satin Lipstick – ‘Snob’ – £15.50

I bought this around two months when I was in Paris, and I already love it. I would wear this anytime, except for a ‘no makeup’ look. The colour is a light to medium pink with lilac/purple undertones which is gorgeous. It would only suit pale people with cool or neutral undertones, and it’s one of the most well known colours for looking ‘akward’ on people. It’s a satin lipstick so it it super pigmented, it lasts forever and it’s comfortable to wear. I would only recommend this to people with fair neutral/cool skintones.

3. Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick – ‘Bashful’ – £8

I got this around 2 and a half years ago for Christmas and it’s deffinetly a favorite. I would wear this anytime for any occassion as it’s not too in your face. The colour is a gorgeous pink colour which would suit a wide range of skin colours and tones. The formula is glossy, super pigmented, it’s fairly comfortable and it lasts forever on the lips. I’d highly recommend this to anyone.

4. L’Oreal Color Riche Lipstick – ‘Pink Fever’ – £6.99

I bought this over a year ago to wear to my cousins Spring wedding, and I still really love it. I would personally wear this at night but it’s deffinetly wearable during the day. The colour is a cool toned medium pink, which would suit fair skin or dark skin; I’d stay away from this if you have medium/olive skin. The colour pay off is amazing and the it is super comfortable to wear. It lasts almost all day and I’d recommend it to those who either have fair/light or dark skin.

5. NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream – ‘Tokyo’ – £5.50

I bought this last month when at long last NYX finally came to the UK. I would honestly wear this anytime, except for a more natural look as it is quite bright. The colour is a light but bright pink with blue undertones, so it only really suits people with cool/neutral, light to medium skin tones. The formula is obviously matte but it is so comfortable on the lips – I was very pleasently surprised! As it’s a liquid matte lipstick it lasts forever, despite being the most affordable of my picks, it is by far the best staying power. I would recommend this to people with paler skin colours, but there are loads of shade in the range perfect for everyone!

Things I love about Summer

It’s now well into Summer, eventhough the weather here in the UK does not show it at all. Never the less, I’ve just been on a super sunny holiday and I’m feelig really Summery, so I’m going to share some of the things that I love about Summer.

Longer days –  Right now, in the middle of Summer, the sun rises at 4:30am and sets at 10:02pm. This means our days last 17 hours and 31 minutes, and our longest day is long gone. I just love having longer days, it makes me so much happier.

Lighter nights – Simillar to the previous point, but it only starts to get dark at 11pm. When I was younger, I hated having light nights but now I love nothing more. I’m dreading Winter!

Warm(ish) weather – Here in the UK, it is rare that the Summer temperatures hit over 20C – yes, really! But after Winters with minus temperatures, 15C is great!

Days at the beach – I have lived beside the sea for my whole life, and alot of my happiest childhood memories are at the beach. I love going to the beach with friends at night, it’s just the best!

Evening walks – Long evening walks as the sun sets in Summer is the best thing ever! Whether that be along miles of coastline, miles of field, miles of woodland, or miles of concrete street, we have it all here.

Ice lollies – A bit silly because I eat them regardless to the season, but seen as they’re associated with Summer, I thought I’d include them. I love ice lollies so much!
