Stranded On A Desert Island?!

No, I’m not about to tell you who I want to be stranded on a desert island with, because who really cares? (And the answer would be no one) I’m going to tell you that in the highly unlikely scenario of getting stranded on a desert island, what 5 beauty products I would like to have with me. Eventhough, if I really were stuck on a small, uninhabited island, in the middle of the South Pacific Ocean, beauty would be the last thing on my mind; so long as I had a big bottle of SPF 30 suncream. But I liked the question, so here are the 5 thinks I would take with me.

1. Simple Kind To Skin+ Protecting Moisture Cream SPF 30, £6.99
– This comes top of my list because sunburn on your face looks and feels awful; it also has long term effects which can be fatal. This is a great SPF moisturiser that protects your skin and leaves it radiant and glowy.

2. Vaseline Rosy Lips, £1.19
– I cannot stand havinh dry lips, so this is a must have, desert island or not. Vaseline is a much underrated beauty product which moisturises the lips like nothing else does. This is the rosy lips one so it leaves a soft pink colour on the lips, so there is no need for any other lip products; very practical for being stuck on a desert island.

3. Seventeen Define & Conquer Contour Kit, £5.99
– I love contouring and having beautiful bronze skin. So if I’m tanning in the sun all day, I want some bronzer to make the tan look even better. The highlighter is matte, and I would compare it to a radiant pressed powder. So this amazing product, also an everyday essential, doubles up as two must have products for me.

4. Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, £4.19
– This concealer is the most increadible thing ever. I couldn’t do my makeup without it so it is deffinetly needed. You never know when you might have to cover a blemish or some redness.

5. Simple Kind To Skin Micellar Cleansing Water, £4.49
– I couldn’t do my makeup without knowing it would be coming of properly, and I’m really loving micellar waters at the moment. It would also be a nice refresh when your skin isn’t feeling the best.

My 2016 Healthy Plan

I would say I am a fairly healthy person and I eat healthily most of the time. But this year I want to be super healthy and feel great about myself for eating all of the right things; and my body will feel great too. I started off doing these things on Monday the 4th of January, and I’ll be continuing all year, maybe. Or I may have given up by the time you’ve even read this…

Rules:
* No sugar – apparently it rots your skin and sends your blood sugar doolally
* No caffeine – fine by me
* No alcohol – don’t drink anyway
* Water, water, water – that’s all you’ll be drinking, FYI
* No snacking
* Think high protein, high (good) fat, low carb

Top Tips:
1. Don’t eat sweets or sugary things.
2. Eat 3 meals a day.
3. Eat lots of fruit and vegetables.
4. Drink lots of caffine free green tea.
5. Don’t eat fast food/proccesed foods.
6. Get 8 or 9 hours of sleep.
7. Follow an exercise plan.
8. Drink 2-3 litres of water everydag with lemon.

My 2016 New Years Resolutions

New years resolutions. Who even keeps them up? Pretty much nobody, but I want to try my very hardest to do this. There were a few ideas that I thought of, but focusing on them all at once would be a bit to much, so instead, I made one for each month of the year. If you have any resolutions, let me know, I might want to steal one or two! Good luck with yours!

Janurary: By the end of the month, I want to be in the habit of working out every single day. Except maybe Sunday.

Feburary: I want to start being nicer to people and be more positive; and keep it up.

March: I want to stop eating chocolate, except from compulsary times e.g. birthday, christmas, easter.

April: When I get stressed or angry, write down all of my feelings, instead of bottling them up inside.

May: Don’t sit back, make as many memories as I can, whenever I can. Write all of the greatest ones in the app, Journey so I can look back.

June: Cut out all unhealthy foods five days a week and make it a habit.

July: Say yes to everything, with condiotions e.g. don’t get yourself killed.

August: Do something for someone else and stop being so selfish. Stop throughing tantrums, your not always right.

September: Procrastinate alot less, and instead make them happen!!

October, November & December: Keep all of the past nine up.

Real Techniques Brushes

image

I don’t know how I managed to even do my makeup before I discoverd for myself, how good Real Techniques brushes were, about six months back. They have the softest, highest quality bristles and they are made increadibly well. They also look and are high quality and will last for years. If I didn’t have these, I don’t think I would want to put makeup on; it’s just not the same without them!

Multi-task Brush
As the name suggests, you can do pretty much whatever you desire with this brush. I either use it for foundation, bronzer, powder or highlighter, and it does an amazing job at all of these things. It is amazing, and because you can do so many things, it is a staple in my collection.

Domed Shadow Brush
I use this brush for blending out under eye concealer or applying and blending out eyeshadow, or contouring my nose. This brush is one of my favorites and I need to get my hands on a couple more because I use it so much. This will be your holy grail brush, I swear.

Powder Brush
I simply just use this for powder. It is quite a big brush so isn’t really practicle for anything else, but it applys powder flawlessly. It finishes the look perfectly and the overall look isn’t complete with out it. When I use the muti task brush to powder, it doesn’t look as good. This was my first Real Techniques brush, and I still love it.

Sculpting Brush.
I use this for contouring and on occasion, bronzer and highlight. I haven’t yet tryed using it for foundation, but you could deffinetly do that. It sculpts the face so, so well, yet it looks so natural. I think if I had to pick a favorite, it would be this one. You have to have this brush, it is increadible, I love this brush so much (if you weren’t able to tell!).

Essential Foundation
I use this brush mostly for concealer, and sometimes foundation. It’s quite a small foundation brush so its perfect for concealer. This is such a handy little brush to have and it will make applying your base much easier and make it look flawless.

If you hadn’t figured it out, I love Real Techniques brushes, and you should too.
